In a rapidly changing world facing challenges like a growing population, political instability, and climate change, traditional solutions often fall short. LADESE utilizes a new approach: social entrepreneurship. It’s about tackling societal issues through innovative market-driven solutions. Our project brings together five organizations from three EU countries, both public and private sectors, to boost the design-driven innovation capabilities of social SMEs. How? By co-creating user-friendly support programs and actions for the social economy. We’re developing three local action plans, partnering with Greece, Italy, and the Netherlands, to exchange experiences and build similar capabilities. The result? A Design Options Paper (DOP) filled with policy recommendations on using service design to craft, upgrade, and evaluate support programs for social enterprises. This DOP could potentially be replicated throughout Europe. LADESE is a project co-funded by the EU under the Single Market COSME Programme.
