AquaSphere is a pioneering initiative under the EIT Higher Education Initiative that empowers Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the water and maritime sectors. By strengthening institutional capacities, fostering collaboration with industry and policymakers, and integrating education, research, and business, AquaSphere equips HEIs to deliver impactful solutions for the sustainable blue economy. The project supports Europe’s transition towards resilience by addressing challenges such as marine renewable energy, sustainable aquaculture, ocean plastics, and smart water management, while aligning with the European Green Deal, the EU Blue Economy Strategy, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The AquaSphere Project, is an EU funded project, supported by the EIT HEI Initiative and it aims to deliver scalable solutions that bolster education, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the blue economy, contributing directly to EU sustainability goals.
