Envolve Award Greece 2022 Opens for Applications

• Start-ups and innovation teams can compete for up to € 50,000 funding, mentorship and business support services.
• Envolve marks 10 years of supporting entrepreneurship and innovation in Greece

Athens, Greece – December 16, 2021: Envolve Entrepreneurship (https://greece.envolveglobal.org/el) announces the launch of the Envolve Award Greece 2022, celebrating 10 years of entrepreneurship support. Envolve invites entrepreneurs and teams to submit their business proposals. Winners receive 360-degree support through interest-free funding, mentorship and business support services from Envolve’s extensive network of partners.

Start-ups and innovative early-stage businesses in Greece, regardless of industry, may submit their applications online through Envolve’s secure application platform. The application submission portal will remain open until Tuesday, 8 March, 2022. Commenting on the launch of Envolve Award Greece, Jimmy Athanasopoulos, Chairman of Envolve Entrepreneurship, stated: “We are very excited to reach the milestone of a 10-year presence in the Greek innovation ecosystem. In 2012, we established the Envolve Award with a mission to support ambitious entrepreneurs at a time when it was most needed. 10 years later we have embraced thousands of ideas, standing alongside our winners and finalists as they face the challenges of business development.

Since its establishment in 2012, by the Libra Group, on behalf of The Hellenic Initiative, the Envolve Award Greece has received applications from more than 8.000 teams and awarded 34 winners. These companies, operating in 19 sectors, have created over 2,000 jobs, have attracted investments of over €260 million and their total value exceeds €850 million.

Through close cooperation with educational and public institutions both in Greece and in Europe, Envolve is an active stakeholder for innovation and start-up entrepreneurship, supporting initiatives such as Elevate Greece, hosting joint activities such as the SkillUp Forum in cooperation with OAED (Manpower Employment Organisation), Evolved-5G, the University Startup World Cup and more.

The previous cycle of Envolve Award Greece awarded three leading companies: Carge, Momcycle and Obko, spanning the technology, FinTech and e-commerce sectors.
