ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Project Description
Knowledge2Impact is a Horizon Europe project aimed at bridging the gap between academic knowledge and the market, by strengthening Knowledge and Technology Transfer Offices (KTO/TTO) across Europe. Built on Action 7 of the ERA Policy Agenda, the project seeks to convert research excellence into economic and societal value through capacity building, cross-border collaboration, and cascade funding. 

Objectives
K2I has five core objectives: 

  • Strengthen the professional capacities of KTO/TTO staff 
  • Upgrade and diversify knowledge transfer services in line with EU Guiding Principles 
  • Design new training curricula for students and researchers 
  • Engage stakeholders from industry, society, and policymaking 
  • Maximise impact and ensure long-term sustainability and openness 

Timeline
36 months starting on June 2026, organised across 7 Work Packages.

K2I brings together 9 beneficiaries and 3 associated partners from 8 countries.

Envolve’s role in the project
Envolve co-leads WP5 on Building Capacity & Excellence in Knowledge Transfer together with FTV, taking responsibility for designing and delivering training programmes for KTO/TTO staff. It also plays an active role in WP4 on Open Call Framework & Cascade Funding, serving on the Evaluation Committee for the distribution of cascade funding of €495,000 to 10–14 KTO/TTOs. Envolve co-coordinates the CloudEARTHi Initiative and brings to the consortium a pan-European entrepreneurship network of 1,000+ startups, 200+ companies, 400+ mentors, and 20,000+ digital followers.
