Alexandros Nousias

Managing Director

Alexandros Nousias is the Managing Director of Envolve Entrepreneurship, with over a decade of progressive experience in finance, investments, and the strategic support of startups. He currently manages a growing portfolio of over 70 businesses, which have received over €6M in funding from the organization, and a combined valuation exceeding €1.2Bn, creating significant impact in Greece and abroad. 

In his role, Alexandros oversees the planning, coordination, and delivery of Envolve’s programs, including founders-focused business support, educational and reskilling initiatives, resource provision, and innovation-based advisory to public and private organizations. He has actively contributed to designing and implementing business support programs that help startups scale nationally and internationally. Over the past 14 years, he has evaluated over 9,500 business plans across diverse industries, providing him with deep expertise in financial viability assessment, investment readiness, and business sustainability. 

Alexandros also served as Manager of the evaluation process, and is member of the evaluation committee of the first Greek national startup registry, “Elevate Greece”, further solidifying his role as a key stakeholder in the Greek startup and innovation ecosystem, with an increasing presence in Europe and the U.S.A. Beyond program management, he develops new initiatives and supports the international expansion of award-winning startups, ensuring their growth aligns with market opportunities and investors’ strategy. 

He began his professional journey in the shipping industry. Throughout his career, Alexandros has successfully led award programs, mentorship schemes, and investor engagement activities, connecting entrepreneurs with critical resources, guidance, networking, and funding opportunities. His work spans the full program lifecycle—from concept development and strategic planning to implementation, monitoring, and impact evaluation—allowing him to combine financial acumen with operational leadership. 

Alexandros holds an M.Sc. in Shipping, Trade & Finance from Bayes Business School, London, and a B.Sc. in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
