Applications’ submission deadline for Envolve Award Greece 2019 is extended until 24 October
Envolve actively supports entrepreneurship across Greece by organizing new events in even more cities

Athens, 27 September 2019 – Following Envolve Entrepreneurship’s (http://www.EnvolveGlobal.org) successful tour in northern Greece during September and given the high levels of interest expressed by aspiring entrepreneurs, the application submission deadline for this year’s Envolve Award Greece has been extended to 24 October. Applicants are competing for interest-free funding, mentorship and business support services. The startup competition is open to business ideas regardless of industry or sector, and has generated a great deal of interest on the business scene for its mission to reward Greek entrepreneurship.

During the first half of the tour, the Envolve team met with many members of the entrepreneur community in northern Greece, including a number of people who aspire to start their own business. The Envolve Award seeks to shed light on new business ideas and to increase their chances of success through the provision of expert support and funding for winners. Envolve’s activities benefit  local economies by sharing knowledge and arousing interest in entrepreneurship.

Envolve’s 2019 tour across Greece, “Next stop: Entrepreneurship”, continues with the second phase starting in Tripoli and Kalamata on October 3rd. Sparti will follow on October 4th and the organization will also visit Chania, Rethymno, Irakleio and Aghios Nikolaos in Crete on October 7th and 8th. Events will also take place in Corfu (9/10), Rhodes (14/10), Chios (16/10) and Athens (18/10). Free tickets and more information are available via the following link (the list of cities is being updated regularly): www.facebook.com/pg/EnvolveGR/events/

These events  focus on sharing knowledge and best practice from the startup scene while facilitating cooperation among local entrepreneurs.

In addition to the entrepreneur community, representatives from local municipalities, academia, chambers of commerce and other business sectors will take part in the events and take the opportunity to network and exchange ideas. These sessions, which fall under Envolve’s Education pillar, aim to promote cooperation between local entrepreneurs.

Envolve’s mission rests on three pillars: education, resources and awards. The non-profit organization was founded by the Libra Group in 2012 and provides education for startups and early-stage businesses, utilizing its partnership with other organizations and businesses, and increasing the availability of business resources. The award program in Greece is operated on behalf of The Hellenic Initiative and is supported by numerous organizations, including Antidote, Atradius, epixeiro.gr, IADR, Intracom Telecom, Ioannis Vassardanis & Partners Law Firm, Lykourezos Law Offices, Microsoft, Moore Stephens, People for Business, Reed Smith, SAP Hellas, V+O Communication, and White Room.
