George Tsiolas is a Project Manager at Envolve Entrepreneurship, focusing on the design, management, and implementation of European programs, and other innovation projects.
He has a strong scientific background, as he holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Department of Molecular Biology & Genetics and the Department of Medicine of the Democritus University of Thrace, respectively.
At the beginning of his career, he worked for several years with the Institute of Applied Biosciences of CERTH. There, he specialized in the application of cutting-edge genomic technologies and biodata analysis, with a particular emphasis on research and meeting the needs of the agri-food sector.
His passion for the practical application of research and its transfer to the market led him to establish his own startup, offering solutions to the agri-food sector. Through this entrepreneurial journey, he gained valuable practical experience around the life cycle of start-ups, business development, and the development of innovative solutions for real market needs.
Combining analytical scientific thinking and experiential business perspective, he made the transition to the field of European Projects, participating in the design and implementation of strategic research and innovation projects. Now, through these research projects, he focuses on connecting technology with entrepreneurship, bridging the gap that exists between them.
